The Mobile Access Platforms (IPAF) course aims to provide relevant and substantive training to anyone working in or coming in contact with during the normal course of their occupation

Who Should Attend?

Any person who requires the need to be trained in Mobile Access Platforms (IPAF) through the course of their normal working duties. This course is suitable for anyone working in the arena or sector.

Joining Instructions

IT IS MANDATORY OWN PPE MUST BE PROVIDED INCLUDING HARNESSES ANYONE ATTENDING A COURSE WITHOUT RELEVANT PPE WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO ATTEND. It is a requirement that all candidates provide PPE helmets, safety footwear, hi vis vests/jacket (weatherproof), gloves and harness on the day. The practical part of the course will be taken outside, Photographs will be taken on the day for the IPAF ID cards. *If you are attending the Self Propelled Boom (Cherry Picker) please provide body harness and restraint lanyard with proof of thorough inspection. IPAF Health & Fitness Statement Since the safe use of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) requires that you consult safety notices and read and thoroughly understand the manufacturer's instruction manual, literacy and language comprehension are important requirements for any MEWP user. Similarly, since the assembly and use of MEWPs can be physically demanding, users should be physically fit and in good health and should, generally, not have problems with eyesight or hearing, heart disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy, fear of heights / vertigo, giddiness with balance, impaired limb function, alcohol or drug dependence or psychiatric illness. If you have any problems with literacy or language comprehension, or have any doubts about your fitness to use the MEWPs, you MUST bring them to the attention of your employer. This need not preclude you from using MEWPs, provided your employer conducts an assessment and is able to put in place adequate measures to take account of any difficulties you may have. Once you arrive, you can look forward to a delightful experience, complete with refreshments and a lunch voucher for all attendees.
