Course Agenda

During this Basic Health and Safety Awareness training course, participants will learn about their individual responsibilities for their own safety and the safety of others. This includes understanding typical construction hazards and how these are controlled, as well as how everyone can contribute to achieving better practical standards of safety on site. Additionally, the legal requirements and liabilities related to health and safety will be covered.

One key topic that will be covered in this course is working at height. Participants will learn about the potential risks and hazards associated with working at height, as well as how to properly assess and control these risks. They will also learn about the necessary safety equipment and procedures to ensure their safety while working at height.

Manual handling is another important aspect of health and safety that will be covered in this training. Participants will learn about the risks and injuries that can result from improper manual handling, as well as techniques for safe lifting and carrying. They will also learn about the importance of ergonomics and how to avoid strain and injury in the workplace.

Fire prevention and safety will also be a key focus of this course. Participants will learn about the common causes of fires in the workplace and how to prevent them. They will also learn about the proper use of fire extinguishers and evacuation procedures in case of a fire emergency. Additionally, the importance of maintaining a safe and well-maintained work environment will be emphasized, including the proper use and maintenance of work equipment.
